First off, I'm a believer that absolute polarity makes a difference. I'm not a regular headphone user, but I was wondering the other day whether people who use headphones notice absolute polarity issues and what they do about it - you can't swap + and - speaker leads on a pair headphones.

I have yet to meet a pair of headphones with incorrect polarity.

But you CAN swap the L and R cans all too easily. Every time I pick up my Sony MDR-V500DJ headphones, I've gotta visibly check that I'm putting them on right!

But sometimes the source material is reversed.
