Dang, some of the discs in my cart have reverted back to full price.
Going to call them in the morning to see if that’s a mistake

Yes, that happened to one of mine. I'm debating whether to do a 3rd $60 order (free ship), or whether to save my money. There's nothing left in SACD that I'll die if I don't get it, but it's hard to say no to APO at $15!

Maybe once they sell a certain number of copies they say that’s it.
I’m thinking I should delete the 4 full price ones and carry on and buy the 8 cheapies.
Before any more of them jump

Might as well get what u can before they go back up. Some are going to be OOP soon too

  7. Yeah that’s correct. When they did the first 50% off sale I missed a few. I reached out and they told me there was nothing they could do.

Get what you want while you can

Ok, will place the order now, then reach out in the morning.
If they don’t bend I may place a second order for the titles that didn’t make my first cut

On SACD 5 of the 12 Impulse! are back up as is Otis Redding and both of the Ray Charles.
The 3 Prestige stereo are intact.
14 Verve left, not sure how many there were there originally.

I would agree 100% if it's stuff you really want.

The 4 in my cart are all items that I already either have a hi-res download of, or an earlier SACD (which is why I'm on the fence):

At these prices I would think they really want to sell through. Anyone know how many of these titles (& the Blue Note Batch) are going oop?

  12. Pure speculation, but I do not think any of the Blue Note vinyl titles will be repressed. However, it could be a while before they are OOS/OOP, as most are not top tier (save Blues Walk). I can't speculate at all regarding the digital titles as that's not really my bag.

A call to AS was fruitless, all they can go by is what the price is now.
He claimed to have no way of knowing whether or not the discs in question had been on sale, which is a bit lame IMHO, but not his fault.
Seemed like a nice guy, I politely thanked him for his time and left it at that

I made one order of 7 vinyl titles when the sale started and had another order in the cart of SACDs which I was intending to buy although a little hesitant with the uncertainty right now. Most of the stuff in my cart reverted up in price and everything I had already purchased has remained the same price. Oh well it is probably more pragmatic not to be buying things like this right now.

I pulled the trigger and am really enjoying those Hawkins titles I did not have before. I am frustrated to see the Shelly Manne Impulse title is back up to full price. I should have grabbed that one as well.

Just placed another order. Not very smart of me but what a great sale. I am discovering all sorts of great jazz I have previously overlooked. Who in the heck is Phil Woods, Illinois Jacquet, or George Wallington? I am certainly familiar with Elvin Jones but do I really need an album with him as the leader? Well, yes. I have listened to samples of all these albums and am really impressed. I would have never looked into these artists and albums without this sale. I am really exited about these titles.

You may know Phil woods from the sax solo on Billy Joel song just the way you are. He married Charlie parker,s common law wife after his death

BTW, if anyone doesn't have them yet, I highly recommend all the $15 Ellington & Hodges titles (I believe there are 4 left; it appears Blues In Orbit sold out; though the Rickie Lee Jones was gone for a few days &is back at 15...)

I can't afford it, but am likely to do another 4-6 disc order. It will be my 3rd from this 2nd sale. I think I bought around 17 in the Blue Note only sale.

My order of 8 discs is on the way, but now that I’ve exhausted all the $15 Impulse SACDs still at that price I’m thinking about dipping into the AP Verve SACDs.
Trouble is I have a few already on DCC Gold (Oscar) or Classic Gold (Ella and Johnny Hodges), so I’ll need to choose carefully.
Maybe the 3 Prestige stereos too
