To me, he'll always be Hector Savage from Naked Gun 2 1/2.

He had a terrific screen presence. Always creepy and unsettling. A bit like a Norman Bates with more disfunctioning on the surface.
    RIP

I had no idea who he was either until I saw the picture of him---that rang a cathedral-sized bell. Looked like a sweat-drenched methhead thirty years ahead of his time. RIP, Mr. James.

Interesting coincidence, Vanishing Point was just added yesterday on the "Movieland TV" app on Roku.
The app is also available for free download on Amazon.

Yeah he seemed to occupy a similar space to Billy Drago.
Both fine character actors with distinctive looks and auras.

"Who's the fella owns this s***hole"

Another of those great actor's whose name I didn't recognize but as soon as somebody mentioned his character in Unforgiven I immediately knew who he was. This was his last role before retiring from film so not a bad way to go out.

Mostly remember him from guest starring in television episodes such as Matt Houston, The A Team and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. You don't see many memorable character actor types like him these days as they're a dying breed. The guy owned every role he played, no matter how small.
