In honor of Norman Lloyd, who just passed away at age 106 as the oldest living actor (male) in the world, here's a thread listing famous people who are still living and have reached the milestone of age 90 or higher. Of all of the above, I am most impressed by William Shatner's sharpness, humor, wit, and energy.
The man, at 90, still indulges in horse riding (and is competing in an upcoming championship), just released a major movie whereupon he appears in a starring role, and is about to go deep sea diving in a cage in shark infested waters (for a forthcoming documentary series).
My partner, ten years my junior, caught me watching Shatner on a podcast filmed last week.
She couldn't believe that he'd just celebrated his 90th birthday.
    She thought he looked 65.
    A very good 65.

Clint Eastwood has another movie coming out this year that he acts in and directed.

I've listened to some podcast interviews with Richard Donner from the last couple years and he also still seems very sharp. He's still talking about memories from 60 years ago, such as when he directed Twilight Zone and Gilligan's Island episodes. He's also actively trying to get Lethal Weapon 5 made and intends to direct it.

James Hong is still active in a lot of small parts and voiceovers.

Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury made it into Mary Poppins Returns.

Rita Moreno will appear in the new West Side Story.

Barbara Eden along with Barbara Feldon (a year younger) were still going around to conventions to sign autographs, up to right before COVID. I think Hal Linden was at one recently as well.

I agree with all this. Shatner continues to amaze on a daily basis. He won me over with his perseverance. I spent decades regarding him as done, after Star Trek, as epitomized by his ‘Transformed Man’ album which preconditioned me to know that he’d look silly venturing outside of this narrow zone of success that he’d been lucky enough to have found himself in. Reports of grumbling from his Star Trek co-stars had me thinking that even that success was perhaps unjust. I thought his final outing as Kirk, in ‘Generations,’ was regrettable and took the shine off that legacy (not so much because of his performance, but because of the plot and writing, which I thought were misguided). His show, T.J. Hooker, didn’t help things, as I was of the opinion at the time that any well-known Hollywood face could squeeze a few more years out of a career by doing a cop or detective show. But he eventually racked up successes to prove me wrong; he just kept going and shut me up. His role on Boston Legal went a long way toward changing my mind in his favor, but he’s racked up a lot of credits beyond that.
A few decades ago I thought he looked puffy and unhealthy. I don’t think that anymore. He looks fantastic, and he’s sharp, as revealed by his daily bantering on Twitter. Good for him.

Add me to the list of those impressed by William Shatner. Looks great, sounds sharp, and is seemingly working all over the place.

Oldest living baseball player is Eddie Robinson, a pretty good first baseman in the 1940s and 1950s. Born December 15, 1920 played briefly in 1942, went into the Navy for three years, last surviving member of 1948 World Champion Cleveland Indians. Front office executive a number of years in 1970s, helped expand pensions for players.

With his death, only Betty and Ed remain of the core cast, not including actors who played recurring characters like Lisa Gerritsen. I guess Lou can finally make it official with Sue Ann since no one is left to shame him. RIP Murray. And Capt. Stubing.

May Gavin MacLeod rest in peace!

Among my all-time favorite films and TV series with him are...

    Kelly's Heroes (1970) Moriarty, Oddball's bow machine-gunner and mechanic
    The Love Boat (1977-1986)
The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977)
    McHale's Navy (1962-1964)

I have a fantasy of working with Faye Dunaway on a picture. Not nearly as high as those on that list. But even 80 is extraordinary to be working still.

I haven't seen anything he's made recently - I think Gran Torino was the last one - but I'm impressed as hell at how active he is at his age. His next film, Cry Macho, comes out in October. Filming wrapped last December, with Eastwood starring, directing and producing at age 90.
