Who’s Jack Ryan — Alec Baldwin or Harrison Ford?

 

I disagree with all the choices. They are actors, that's what they do. Johnny Weismueller was not Tarzan, Bela Lugosi was not Dracula. Just actors doing a great job.

 

in playing the fictional character in a movie...yes they are tops.

 

Harrison Ford by light years...

he just fits the role best...I'd say he owned it at the time...Baldwin is a one dimensional actor...he's like on repeat.

 

Yeah, I’d say it’s between him and David Suchet.

Hmm...not sure you get the gist of what I meant.

 

Along the same line of thought, there are two actors that, to me, are so convincing in their character portrayal that I cannot picture them as being normal people. Especially since I don't think I've ever seen any film of them NOT in character. Jerome Howard as Curly from the Three Stooges and Irene Ryan as Granny Moses. It would be surreal to see them doing an interview, etc. as themselves.

I would have loved to have seen Universal make their version of A Christmas Carol. Karloff as Scrooge.
