    It is from the 1986 remake/homage of Invaders From Mars, directed by Tobe Hooper. If you like this kind of 80s film it's kinda fun to watch at least once. It has some imaginative scenes.and doesn't take itself too seriously.

    She played the nasty sort with perfection. Two roles of hers I enjoyed were as Karen Carpenter's Mother in a CBS bio and later as the Mother of a man who murdered his wife (Valerie Bertinelli co-stared in it). Anything she did that I saw I liked. Wishing her family and loved ones peace and the satisfaction of knowing she had many fans in the world.

    The Oscar win didn't lead to a big career. Was that because the character was so unsympathetic, and it clung to her?

    The Oscar didn't do much for F.Murray Abraham, either.
