This is one album I really think deserves the special treatment. Can not wait till the finished CD is released.

 

I couldn't agree more with you, so much so that it's the only America album I listen to.

 

It's been a while since I heard this album. The WB CD is... boring, so this will be a welcome revisit.

Just pre-ordered what I'm sure is going to be an extremely tasty America /America SACD. I expect it's going into heavy rotation in October.

I had no idea the recordings on History had been re-mixed.

I wonder what have the radio stations been playing all these years....the originals or the remixes?

This should be interesting hearing the recordings as they were intended, in my case for the first time

The Warner/Rhino 30 Years of America box set features the original mixes of the songs that appeared on the group's self-titled debut album, Homecoming, and Hat Trick.

 

I did exactly the same thing. That's why I "liked" your original comment. Even as a 15-year old, I could discern that recordings sounded better without Dolby.

 

How rare is the US non "Horse With No Name" version if this LP? I never see it...

 

James had one in the Classifieds a couple of years ago.

$ 12.00. But it sold. I bought a copy with the Horse from him later.

You know Steve's disc is bound to sound unbelievable.
