Advice needed: ship 7" in lp mailer, or...?

    Just got a Discogs order for a 7" I have listed, and I'm out of 7" mailers. Was thinking about:

    • using an lp mailer, and taping the 7" safely between two 12" corrugated filler pads, or,
    • cutting down 4 filler pads to ~7 1/4" squares, and taping all around

    Which would you prefer? Thank you!

    taped between 12x12 squares seems safest while shipped in an LP mailer if properly secured.

    Just stick it in a plastic bag and tape it to the inside

    Take the 7" item and surround it in throwaway folded paper.

    Taped the folded paper (that the 7" is surrounded by) at the sides to the center of one filler pad.

    place a second filler pad on top of the first (no taped needed) and mail the protected item inside of a proper, corrugated cardboard LP mailer that you have at your present disposal.

    That would be my recommendation.
