I agree. If you can afford to step up to a Bryston, you'd have a well built, excellent sounding, reliable and stable amplifier. Which you can live with for life. And is of heirloom quality. A recommended buy. Agree with this poster highly.

my advice is to get an amp made in the last 10 years. less chance of something not working. if you go too old more chance of problems arise.

Cyrus are not really bright, but at the brighter side of British Amps. Creek as well.
A Quad combination is a very solid investment... good quality and fine sound.
A 306 Power Amp and a 45 Preamp is excellent

Really? All new Made in China things died here, the stone old stuff is going strong.
And some new capacitors after 40 or 45 years is not expensive.
The new ones are not even repairable very well.

Avoid the marantz pm7000 like the plague. It's infamous for it's mediocre sound and I had one. The first amp I've had that actually hid the details in the mid band.

Sorry for resurrecting a weeks old thread.

I'm on the fence about swapping a Bluesound Powernode 2i out for a Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 on my desk. I have been reading everything I can find about the Lyngdorfs. How do the voicing options or RoomPerfect affect their "colder" nature?

I haven’t heard the newest model probably, but found the sound ice cold. With or without RC.
Still, the room correction works very well.
