Betcha they're going to use the QUAD mix or mix something a lot like it.

    This is GGREAT news.

Cool! I was thinking of splurging for the Japanese mini-LP, but I think I'll just wait for this.

Well, Toys was a new mix by Jack Douglas, so I can't see why they wouldn't do a new one.

ROCKS Rocked! - Never has an LP's title been so aptly named! It was all downhill from here for Lipps and the gang! (This could be the start of a new thread - THINK- LP names that really fit the music inside?)

I was begining to think they were never going to release Rocks on SACD. I'm glad to hear it is finally going to happen. :goodie:

.....AFTER Christmas? Well, anytime is better than not at all.

Let's hope we see it and it does not "go away" like other announced Sony titles.....

I've had this on my wish list since I first heard the Toys In The Attic SACD.

    Don't let us down Sony!

To me, this would be even better than Rocks. Every time I see Get Your Wings on LP in records stores, it's always beat to crap. Rocks on LP is much easier to find.

Ed Bishop Incredibly, I'm still here

Makes no sense...sheesh, how about a week of two before? Something to play on Xmas Eve.....:D

Yeah, I still haven't forgotten Stevie Ray or the Byrds, to name two.....:sigh:

As for ROCKS....I would expect a new mix, though that rad Quad would work just fine for most of us, I'm sure....

I've been waiting for Rocks on SACD since 2000. Better late than never! If it had been released in 2000, it would have been a single-layer stereo disc. Now we should get a hybrid multi-channel disc. :)

Just finished playing Toys in 5.1
They did do a great job. The 5.1 was mastered by Doug Sax and James Guthrie. Sax's stuff always has a nice warm bottom end.

Funny, before Toys I played the Crystal Method dvd-a. You'd think an electronica band would have killer bass......Toys creamed it in the bottom end! Guess technology means squat!

    Okay-
I gotta chime in as well on the sound of Toys... The mix is very tasteful without gimmicks. But it really makes me want to see Get Your Wings real soon.

Sorry to bump, but does anyone have recent news on this release? It seems too good to be true.

Rocks has been rumored since the invention of SACD. A real case of I'll believe it when I see it.
