Will this play on a DTS DVD player?

No, it's SACD-only. And it's funny to see this thread again as I have been thinking about this disc lately.

No, SACD-only single-layer. And it's funny to see this thread again as I have been thinking about this disc lately.

He might have been asking about the DTS boot link that was removed. Long story....

I meant the link to the DTS CD version, not the SACD.

So still no history on how seemingly only one copy of the Rocks SACD made it out?

I'm sure it's more than one, but none more that we know of.:D

Unless Eddie is sitting on a retirement fund SACD.;)

Mike, I'm sorry. It's a one-of-a-kind, so far as I know...so far as anyone knows. Japanese Pink Floyd CD's go for $5000, just saw a French classical LP from the 50's go for $8000, who knows what kind of Aerosmith or hi-rez audiophile fanatics are out there. It's the lonely cold of winter all over the Earth. Someone has been saving their pennies. I want the piggy bank, baby!!

I won't comment on the price, but I will say this: If you really expect that kind of money, you really should have better pics. A picture of the SACD with your hand obscuring part of the label doesn't really cut it for a rarity in this price range...

whats crazy is you KNOW they made more than one...it would be insane to print up everything needed to make it and then do only once cd....somewhere there are more. It would be even more ridiculous to think they printed only one and then the owner took it to Amoeba for trade or $4 cash or whatever, which I believe is where Eddie found it. There is no possible way there is only the one in existence....but talk about a lucky find.......

This one has a punch hole, just wonder how much it would go for if there's a new, factory sealed copy.

This may be different, but it seems like a production run was done, but cancelled so all of the discs were supposed to have been destroyed. I've been collecting long enough to know that sometimes (not always) someone somewhere (usually a record company guy, or someone associated with the production of the disc) has a box of them.

Has Eddie verified that this is his auction or did he sell it once before and this is someone else? It's the same pics from post #1 in this thread.

Considering the photo's are the same, and the location is the same, I would assume that Eddie is selling his, which still may be the only one in existence.
Why can't I ever find anything like that?
