Are these the original mixes or the remixes?

As soon as someone can post another review, I'd love to hear it. I must admit I haven't got terribly high hopes for this one.

I think the MONO PSR&T sounds so much fuller than the Stereo :agree:

On all the releases I've heard ,the songs are great but I dislike the treatment and mixing. A bit too echoey for my tastes.
The vocals seem distant. I hope that AF tones it down some. CD Universe shows it for
    $20 plus.

I'm not trying to be critical, but this is one of the strangest posts I have seen on this site. Are you really only looking for positive reviews....or......are you interested in all reviews....good and bad? Perhaps I misread your post.

    Dave,

I love this album, but I've never been happy with the echo on many of the songs.
If you have the remaster with extra tracks, the last two songs are demos that were added on without all the heavy echo.

I would be thrilled if AF made some adjustments. In the past Steve has toned down
echo on his remasters and in many cases, it's warranted.

So how about some reviews of the AF treatment of PSR&T.

Looks like a 2 week delay for us "outsiders". No big deal. "Not an issue" as they said in the Deep Purple thread. ;)

If they use the master and the master contains echo, I don't think there really is a way to tone down echo. They would probably have to remix the album to do that. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I would assume.

Well... there are ways but I don't think it's something Kevin would do.

I spoke to the really nice lady at AF today. (I can't remember her name, but she's always super nice!) She said that once they have finished shipping the club members, the other orders will go out - should be next week. I also just went ahead & booked Sounds Of Silence now. I also asked if there were any other S&G titles planned - she said that the May releases haven't been firmed up yet.

I want to make you aware that because of a shipment problem at Sony Music, some of you will be receiving your March shipment of the Simon & Garfunkel "Parsley Sage Rosemary & Thyme" and Deep Purple "Machine Head" 24K CDs late. Normally, our club members always receive shipments prior to the street date. In this case, we're trying to get your shipment out to you as quickly as possible.

The Simon & Garfunkel 24K CD from Sony was mis-shipped, and some of the numbers haven't arrived to our office yet. We're working with Sony to track them down.

Sixty-one of our members have already received their Simon & Garfunkel and Deep Purple, and the reviews have been fantastic. For our other members, please be patient-we're working to get yours out to you as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologize for the delay.

I assumed the reason I didn't receive the email was my canadian mailing address, but I guess that's not the case.
