Okay, so if you don't care about the album and didn't buy it, then why are you reading and participating in this thread?

Seems like an odd place to put that kind of opinion since the thread is obviously geared towards people who like the album and are interested in an expended release...

Yeah the Jimmy the Saint Mix is the video version. The intro bass is very prominent in it.

  5. I never understood why she would release an acoustic album yet also slather autotune onto her voice. Made absolutely no sense.

And yet you felt the impulsive need to click on the thread and take the time to reply. Go figure.

Okay, I haven't ever seen that show. In that case, I will apologize for my misplaced snark. :)

No worries, it was a pretty obscure reference.

That article lost me at "remastering"...it's already plenty "modern" sounding.

Thank you Bartels76 - I didn't even know this existed and it's been sitting there hidden on my 1995 Maverick CD since, well, probably 1995. What a great mix!

I forgot Taylor Hawkins was in her band then.

So shouldn't they have had this out by June/July for the 20th Anniversary?

Demos recorded between 1994 and 1998, whereas the album was released in 1995? JLP is a great album though. Listening to it now, actually.

Saw Alanis in Hyde Park in 1996. Rocking show, Taylor Hawkins (currently playing in Foo Fighters) was her drummer back then.

Yeah, the demos from after the album was released confuse me. I guess because there weren't enough demos of unreleased songs from the period the album was being worked on?

This could be so much better if they included all the awesome B-sides which would fill a disc plus. They should've canned the acoustic CD and put on the Spacecakes EP instead. Really dumb to add that 10th anniversay album on there when it is easily available.

Spacecakes! D'oh! I knew I was forgetting something! Yeah, they should have included that.

Well, yeah. Record companies re-release very successful albums with previously unreleased material to make more money because they know the album will sell well.

That's not exactly a new tactic on their part. :)
