So five people on both covers - okay ... but while all five on each are looking straight on into the camera (and seemingly at the viewer of the photograph) the two groups are not posed in the same positions, not dressed the same; there is not the same layout or type face of the words printed on the cover; one cover is in colour and other in black and white; and one person on the AC-DC cover is smiling while all of Krauss' crew is grimacing. If Krauss designed that to be a homage than it's the most oblivious cover art homage ever. And on it's own merits that Krauss cover is pretty bad.
Apparently you're the one with the hurt feelings. I should send the letter to you, but I doubt it would make you feel better.
Here's a classic. Although it's the same album, but the contents are contemporary with the original album displayed.
This is specific to France. Alain Bashung's 7" of his rendition of "Hey Joe" was a nod to the (famous locally, as it was the one cover available for years) french cover of "Electric Ladyland". Maybe one day I'll find out whose hand it was (as it's totally not Jimi's). I want to hear the guy's story.
