Instinct........one of my favorite Iggy solo albums. I saw him on tour for that one......there also was a live album recorded during that year which is great:
Any serious Bowie listener should be able to at least recognize the potential of all those songs on there. Great album, love it Re the OP: David Bowie between 83 and 89 Deep Purple - Fireball Elton John - Leather Jackets Genesis - Invisible Touch Kate Bush - The Red Shoes the two Caterpilla albums The Who - It's Hard Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Liverpool Falco - Data de Groove
My favorite Barry Manilow album. It's got everything. Part of a dream, a note for Linda by the door, crying in the middle of the night, untouched scotch and a dress cut down to there.
Who are "people"? Does somebody "hate" that one? Right, count me in. Maybe not entirely but for the most part at least.
I'm wondering too... it's not as known as the first one, but seems to get its due respect for the most part.
Everyone hates it I love it. I even made a thread Poll on this album. A short lived thread of course. "Melody Road" Neil Diamond-- It's Not A Bad Album" IMHO--POLL:
Byrds - 1973 Reunion Wings - Wild Life, Red Rose Speedway Neil Young - Are You Passionate? Dylan - Knocked out Loaded, Down in the Groove
Another vote for Wings - Wildlife which has received a few mentions on this thread. I think it contains some of Pauls finest vocal work. A friend of mine is a steadfast McCartney fan and has all but one of his cannon of work.
Well, certainly not here, but I get the feeling that both seem to be seen by many as less-than-stellar efforts and IT, at least, doesn't exactly get love by some Genesis listeners.
U2 - pop In my opinion a great adventurous lp So many people wrote it off due to electronica - discotheque mofo Miami - I love it - wish they were this adventurous more often - totally deserving of an expanded reissue
Really? You like those albums? Amazing. I'm a lifelong Dylan fan but in my view there's virtually nothing to redeem either album. Maybe "Brownsville Girl" and "Silvio" is OK (he played it LOTS of times). It takes all sorts I guess.
Invisible Touch is a great album. It's just that Phil's an easy target for people who like lazy jokes.
