My birthday is in December. Not a good date for a record release. There was a famous Tangerine Dream concert on my birthday though.

According to that, a few good albums came out on my birthday, of which Badfinger's Straight Up is my personal favorite while the most widely recognized classic is probably Horses by Patti Smith.

Man oh man. February 2nd was not a day for album releases!

Going back to 1965, at least on Wikipedia- I found a few released one February 1st….not so many on 2/2
2-1 the day before my birthday
    1971 Sweet Baby James
    1972 Harvest
    Something/Anything
    1973 Tyranny and Mutation
    Billion Dollar Babies
    1974 What Were Once Vises…

And finally…..in 1976 2/1 dries up and my birthday starts getting
    some respect.

    2/2 My birthday
    GImme Back My Bullets
    1982 Killers/Iron Maiden
    1986 Different Light/Bangles
    1988 I’m Your Man
    2004 Scissor Sisters self titled.

    I gave up after 2004.

That was one of the most significant, there seems to be a lot of compilations released on my birthday for some reason. :)

They took out a lot of compression, and it does sound a lot nicer as a result. The EQ is clearer too. Almost like a different album.
