A perfect pick. Rarely hear anyone talk about it; but it was a classic upon it’s realease and for me anyway it holds up today. When I’m looking for an “on deck” record my pick is often VF s/t.

Squeezing Out The Sparks still I believe has its reputation intact although other great if not classic GP albums are by most, if not just about all, a distant distant inkling of a faint memory. Among others... Stick To Me.

True enough... but my initial thought was primarily; no mention or acknowledgment by people, individuals who know, appreciate, have at least a rudimentary caring about “music”. Traditional radio as you’re talking about; accurately talking about, died in NY with Vin Scelsa’s free form format with as you say the exception of some college programming.

This is their "Sgt. Pepper"...I know...they are not a group that it is "cool" to like...but this has some of the best singing, arranging and production of any album in my collection...and, I've been seriously listening to music since the mid-'60's .

Thanks. I was also going to mention Prince's self titled 79 album mainly because of one song , "I Feel for You". been a while but i was jamming to that 2 nights ago, then i listened to Chaka khan's (84) and the Pointer sisters (82)version of that song. just makes me appreciate the genius of Prince all the more... surprised you didnt say anything about BO's Suddenly or ZZ Top's Deguello. i guess ZZ is bound to be in Eliminator's shadows no matter what they do. but Suddenly ...that is a masterpiece

This is one of my favorite psych records of the '60s. It's unfortunate that it was released on Scepter Records, which is primarily known for Dionne Warwick and B.J. Thomas - not many "progressive"/underground rock fans heard it at the time, it seems.

Thankfully Sundazed reissued it and let us bask in its excellence.

Supergrass' self-titled album from 1999 is a near-perfect album for me.

One more from Condello Phase 1. If you are a fan of '60 psych, I really can not recommend it highly enough.
