Ok, here's my super quick list off the top of my head: 1. Neil Young- Ragged Glory- I own the groove crammed original and still love it but this would be a great opportunity to release a high quality 2lp pressing. 2. Neil Young- Greendale- very solid later day Neil album that currently sells for $600-1000. Yikes! Please reissue this again. 3. Alice In Chains- Facelift- one of the all time great 90's grunge masterworks not available on vinyl!!? What the hell is going on here? 4. Rolling Stones- Voodoo Lounge- this one has really grown on me and I like it a lot. Would love to see a reissue. Perhaps 2019, 25th anniversary pressing? 5. Neil Young- Dreamin' Man Live- I missed the last reissue of this! ****! Now the price has ballooned. I'll sit and wait for the next round. 6. Pearl Jam- Ten- I own a Korean original and it sounds utterly fantastic but this should be properly released on 2lp and mastered by Bernie Grundman or Sean Magee if possible! All of the newer attempts are not great in my opinion.
Ambrosia - Ambrosia Tool - 10,000 Days Tool - Lateralus Red Hot Chili Peppers - One Hot Minute (a double LP this time) Jane's Addiction - Strays Jane's Addiction - Ritual de lo Habitual Brendan Perry - Ark Steely Dan - Katy Lied KT Tunstall - Drastic Fantastic The Records - Shades In Bed (aka, The Records) The Records - Crashes
Funny was talking about this today. I'd say 90 percent of anything I really wanted has been reissued in the past 10 years. However there are still a few -PJ Harvey - Stories From The City.... -The Cure-Wish -Prince-Gold Experience- -Doves-Lost Souls -SFA-Rings Around The World -U2-Zooropa -Stereolab-All Albums Boxset -Tom Petty-Wildflowers If all that was to be reissued I'd be good to go!
You can find some of these used for just a few bucks. I think that I found my copy of Crashes in a dollar bin.
Streetnoise/Julie Driscoll and Brian Auger Blues from Laurel Canyon (mono)/John Mayall (Haven't we had this thread before?)
All of Funkadelic, none of that 4MWB garbage. Tripsichord Grapefruit ELO first 2 albums Tracey Chapman 30th anniversary btw, get on it Chad
Tom Waits The Black Rider PJ Harvey Is This Desire? And i need some of the Neil Young albums mentioned.
All of the Troggs LPs. The only one ever released in the US was their first that featured Wild Thing. All of the rest have been compilations.
In addition to some of the ones previously mentioned, I’d like to see Parliament’s catalogue get a proper release, and Van Morrison’s Veedon Fleece. Oh, and while we’re at it, how about an AAA release of the Beatles original stereo albums. I bet some people would buy those. I know there’s been many releases of these albums over the years, but getting a really choice copy is pricy.
Gin Blossoms’s first album Dusted. Original pressings go online for anywhere from $100-$300, I’ve never seen it cheaper.
1.Lenny Kravitz-Greatist Hits 2.The Doves-Lost Souls 3.Monaco-Music For Pleasure 4.Van Morrison-Magic Time
I decided long ago that when Neal Morse's Sola Scriptura album get an LP release, that'll be the day I officially start my record collection starting with that one of course, and buy one at least every month. The following week my girlfriend get me a used copy of Elton John's Rock of the Westies, so I guess that one became my first LP and I'm grateful for it. She forgot I guess, but I love it, even though I can't play it because I have no record player.
