TMZ reporting he passed today at 80. RIP.
I'm sorry to hear that. RIP Alex Trebek
What is RIP, Alex?
Sad, but no surprise. Pancreatic cancer is a tough one.
I had a feeling that this would be happening.
Ah man. RIP.
I thought he had a bit of time left. He hasn't missed a beat hosting Jeopardy. Not surprising but still sad.
I guess Ken Jennings is his replacement as he has been featured on the show a lot this season.
F the big C.
RIP Alex, everyone was hoping you’d defy the long odds.
This hurts a lot.
My wife says when her clients tell her they have pancreatic cancer, the next year they are inevitably gone.
SO much enjoyment he gave us, and in a classy/smart way which is lacking in today's entertainment.
At least it seems like he had a pretty good life
Hard to think of anyone else hosting Jeopardy but at the same time I'd hate for it to disappear. Who COULD host it?!?
RIP Alex. Will remember always!
He will truly be missed.
What is one of the all time greats?
So sad to hear this. RIP to one of the greatest game show hosts ever.
This stinks Big Time!
R.I.P. to a Class Act.
He is, and will be, missed.
He put up one hell of a fight. I love the show, watch it religiously my whole life, and I'm really sad to see him go. I'm actually near tears, hitting me harder than I thought it would.
What is so unfair?
I'm deeply saddened. Such a fixture in my life and the culture. RIP
He really fought hard. A true icon and very classy man. I know he's not the first host of Jeopardy, but I can't picture anyone else hosting it. He's such a part of it.
So sad. Loved watching him almost every night for decades.
He’s was the perfect host for “Jeopardy” - intelligent, cool-headed and gentlemanly. And he lived longer than some were forecasting after his diagnosis was announced.
May he RIP.
