Not directly related to these reissues, but here's a sneak preview of my proposed cover for the custom Alice Cooper book/documentary I'm working on, titled, She Asked Me Why The Singer's Name Was Alice: The Incredible True Story Of The Alice Cooper Group 1964-1974.

I added the title for every song found on "Greatest Hits", if it wasn't already referenced. Find all 12 and win a free round of applause!

And here is an alternate cover to the one above. It's really just a hybrid of the "School's Out/Old School" covers with a few custom tweaks that I added. I actually think this is the one I'll end up going with...

Incredibly, I find that my new copies/versions of Easy Action and Killer are misprinted. Everything is as expected with both - EA is printed on "gold" vinyl, with corresponding labels. Killer, the same, with red/black swirls and appropriate labels... However, when playing them - they are switched. Killer is Easy Action, and vice-versa. Someone along the lines did not make the distinction, and here I am with two albums completely discombobulated. I got the obligatory email from my source, saying that the records have been recalled, due to a manufacturing defect....

"Please be advised, due to an audio defect, all copies of the Vinyl/LP format of the Alice Cooper/Easy Action (UPC: 603497864553) and Alice Cooper/Killer (UPC: 603497864546) are being recalled immediately. A new street date has not yet been determined."

    Anyone else???

My copies of Welcome to the Nightmare and Chris Bellman cut of Killer arrived. I am listening to the Bellman cut of Killer. It's definitely better than the new mispressed Rhino!

My guess is that Alice and Salvadore had this switch planned since 1973... :D

May I ask where did you order the Bellman Killer from?
    Or was it Amazon UK?
    Much appreciated.

So you think they used the Friday Music mastering on the new red and black vinyl "Killer" (or is called "Killer With Easy Action Label" now?) ?

I tell you sometimes these guys seem to go out of their way to F-up a possible great reissue :sigh:

You have CB mastering that is minimal packaging and plain ol black vinyl, but great sound.

Or you can have subpar mastering by Joe from Friday Music yet cool vinyl a calendar. Oh wait the labels are switched. Maybe not so great packaging. "But we will recall and re-do! Wait, who did the best mastering again so we can fix this along with pasting on the correct labels? Oh hell, who cares. They will never know."

The only question is what to do with my screwed up Rhinos. I wonder if any used record store will buy them?

Ian Schefnick cut Killer, Ron McMaster cut WTMN. New cuts. But I think both were cut from Joe's mastered files.

Bull Moose offered to take my copy of Killer back for a full refund. I accepted the offer but have yet to hear back on shipping it back to them. Didn’t even open it as I heard the news before it arrived.
