Alice Cooper's "Easy Action", "Killer" and "Welcome to my Nightmare" on Rhino coming 1/23/18! *

I just ordered “Killer” from Barnes and Noble, I wonder if it will have the correct label.

 

Bullmoose is my local store. Went to pick up my pre-ordered copies today, and while I got my copy of Welcome To My Nightmare, sure enough, they had already pulled and sent back all the copies of Killer and Easy Action. The guy I talked to seemed to think it would only be about a month before corrected copies would be available, but he could have just been guess-tamting.

I got mine in the mail today from Silver Platters in Seattle. Killer and Easy Action are swapped as reported. I'll probably just hang on to them.

Do you know that the new colored vinyl is mastered by Joe of Friday Music, or are you just throwing names around?

 

Thats what was hinted at in the thread. Hey, if its done by KG, then great. By the few accounts it doesnt sound as good as the previous reissue.

 

It was not clearly stated. The LP in question was recalled as I think you know.

 

Dude why are you riding me about this? I didnt say it was CLEARLY STATED. I went by what a couple of people have stated. Buy them and compare yourself if you have a burr up your butt about it.

 

Just don't like unsubstantiated info stated like it's fact in the music forums - and internet in general. Yes bug up my ass about it. Deal with it.

Can someone who bought Killer (i.e. Easy Action) please look at the deadwax and see if it has anyone’s initials?

 

And they're still defying the public's expectations after all these years!!

Not familiar with initials, but mine has what looks like a capital "H" with the letter "S" in between the letter H.

It's really really hard to see but : Mastered by Capitol + MPO + the catalogue numbers + some sort of Egyptian symbol (never saw that one, but it could be indeed a H with an S in between as VINYLMARIO says in the previous post) on BOTH the KILLER and EASY ACTION vinyl.
The same can you find on both TESTpressings.

I wonder if it is that the Herb Cohen estate has sold the first two AC albums back to Warners? They were previously were out of WB hands as the original licensing deal had expired.

Do these new reissues of Easy Action and Pretties for You mention a licensing arrangement or copyright from another party?

Someone is going to have to open up every album - and remove the LP so that the covers are salvaged. What a job!
