I have never seen that but I don't use a Kindle, I use an iPad as a controller.

    Yes. Very small, though.

I used an iPad until the screen broke and started using the Kindle instead because it had the full edit features like the iPad. The iPhone remote is so inferior. Now the Kindle appears to be as inferior as the iPhone in terms of being able to edit metadata and organize library.

More incentive to get another iPad, I suppose.

I have given up using my 27" iMac once I got the iPad and Nucleus. I have just the cheapest one but it does everything I need from a computer. The iMac use to reside in my listening room and I wanted to get it out due to the distractions thus the main reason for getting the Nucleus.

Anybody detect and sound differences with the update? Hadn't turned my system on since Saturday so probably sounding extra good since all I've listened to the last few days was computer speakers at work and stock car stereo.

Could be confirmation bias on my end, but it does sound better this afternoon. I am playing DSF files.

May have discovered a bug. Tried to add an album to one of my existing playlists of which have 6 or so. Only gave me the option to add to only one playlist. Trying to add Dave Mason Live at the Sunrise Musical Theater and is only giving me the option to add to my Heavy Metal playlist in which this doesn't belong.

When I have an album playing, I no longer see the suggested similar albums that used to show on the right side. Looked all over and can't find anything like that at all.

Other than being able to use portrait mode on my iPad, not seeing much of a difference. In fact, things seem to be missing or hidden very well.

Does something need to be updated on the Raspberry Pi? I'm using a Raspberry Pi 4 with Ropiee, an IBM ThinkPad hosting Roon core and an iPad with Roon remote app. Everything seems to working fine?

Ok, so far, so good, but I am missing the old feature where it shows other versions af a song from your library and services. I love this feature. Maybe it’s turned off as a setting in 1.8.

Edit: They showed up! I’m guessing the database was reindexing.

Took a look over at the Roon forums and there are a lot of complaints of things not working. Roon responded saying their servers were overloaded with more users then ever before and some features are not working. One being the recommendations for similar music. Looks like it may take awhile for them to sort out the issues.

Everything updated no problem. Really enjoying the new interface, and big uptick in quality handling classical music. :edthumbs:

I noticed that too. When I open it from a minimized window, the Roon logo doesn’t crunch. I just get a white flash screen then it is up!

Well the updating was a breeze but on first glance I don't like the changes, need to play around a bit I guess......

Seems like there's a lot of unhappy folks venting in the Roon Lab's website (board). I like the new version, but I unterstans the merits for some of the complaints or issues that the old users are bringing up. My experience with Roon is only a couple of month, therefore, I'm not so invested as those users that have been using the software for years.

    Peace,
    Tony
