24 million of those posts are the same 50 people talking about what The Beatles had for breakfast in 1966

    Great stuff!

Thanks for the forum Steve. As always, I'm grateful for it. I've bought a lot of music through discovering it here, being reminded of it here or other people's enthusiasm rubbing off on me!

This is the only forum I've ever been a member of and I don't bother with social media. I wouldn't have The Beatles in Mono box if it wasn't for here! It was the positivity from discerning listeners here that made me go for it. Long may it continue...

    But it's not #25,000,000. Sorry. :D

Thanks to Steve and everyone involved in running this forum, I'm a relative newcomer but have enjoyed coming to this site almost daily now. This is a great place for music lovers and people who still also like to have physical copies of the music they love. I also very much appreciate the moderation control, some may feel there's a bit of censorship if they post negatively but I think it really helps with the community here. It's 2021 and honestly it's hard enough being a music lover and collector in this world, why would anyone insist on making things even more difficult to learn and find more of what we love?!? Other than what's left of record labels and stingy rights holders keeping recordings from us of course..... Congratulations to SFH and all its members, let's all keep it up and keep it special!

Congratulations everyone especially Steve. And I thank you!

I’ve had a great time hanging out here. Big things I’ve learned are all the affordable sleeper masterings that sound great. The second is becoming aware of added echo and why it stinks.

Not to mention all the obscure albums and artists I’ve discovered from reading about them here.

A highlight for me was the Van Morrison Album by Album thread. Made lots of friends and read some very insightful commentary.

RE Fab Four. Hey I threw in hundreds of posts about Julie London - have they been deleted while I wasn't looking? Also Blondie and Parween Sultana. It was a thread started by Mr Hoffman himself on Julie London that propelled me to join after a decade of occasional lurking.. I think I first ran across the site in 2003 sometime.

A technical question - does the 25000000 include posts in the protected forums ( General Discussion, Long and Winding etc)?

On one of my first posts to the Forum back in 2002, Steve responded to a comment I made about the Willis Alan Ramsey DCC CD. "Good ears", he said

I remember thinking, dang, I think I like it here. Almost 20 years later, I still do.

Did you do the long thread about all the Julie London albums and the different pressings with photos? It was fantastic, then typical of here the photos all disappeared. If I have two complaints about this forum, one is that. There was obviously a lot of effect went into that thread and an effort should be made so that the photos stayed. Also, some of the moderators decisions when deleting posts are hypocritical. But they're infrequent. The good massively outweighs the bad.

If there was only a way to aggregate the amount of money that has been spent by members on gear and media as a direct result of reading these pages. THAT would be the eye-opening statistic!

None of my friends or even acquaintances are into music or equipment so it was nice to find a group of folks whose interests even outstrip mine, making me feel not so alone and strange.
