Paul McCartney Paul Is Live 2x LP AU$26.05 https://www.amazon.com.au/Paul-Live...DDW7BAQVXHQ&psc=1&refRID=E6EDTN53RDDW7BAQVXHQ
I’d love to see the software code for Amazon AU pricing. Or even better, the documented business requirements. There seems to be little logic to some of the price movements.
Paul McCartney - Egypt Station Explorers Edition 3LP $40.00 https://www.amazon.com.au/EGYPT-STA...in:5260927051&rnid=5260920051&s=music&sr=1-21
The Slits - Return Of The Giant Slits LP $22.24 https://www.amazon.com.au/RETURN-GI...5Z/ref=sr_1_48?qid=1582852233&s=music&sr=1-48
Yeah that captures it well! Interestingly this Dutch auction pricing behaviour also seems to affect other product categories. I had a business book in my basket at $15 recently with 2 copies left in stock. Today it shot up to $76. I checked and yep, someone had bought one. But the last copy of every product seems to sit at an abnormally high price & almost never drops. So Amazon AU must have singles of virtually every product in their warehouse that they will never sell!
I might start keeping an eye on high prices items. TV's, phones etc. See how those prices move with two items left, and how they compare to retail prices in the market.
Steve Hackett - Broken Skies Outspread Wings (1984-2006) - 8CD Box Set - $52.59 https://www.amazon.com.au/BROKEN-SK...s=steve+hackett&qid=1582853061&s=music&sr=1-8 I bought this on first release from UK and paid a hell of a lot more that $52.59
Steve Hackett - Genesis Revisited: Live At The Royal Albert Hall [2 CD + 1 DVD] - $15.27 https://www.amazon.com.au/GENESIS-R...=steve+hackett&qid=1582855151&s=music&sr=1-16
Another day, another damaged box set from Amazon AU! This one was placed upside down inside a larger box with virtually no protection (just a couple of those air bags that do nothing), so unsurprisingly has seam splits & corner dings. It doesn’t seem to matter if the item costs $3 or $300, the Amazon AU packing team give zero forks (cue ‘The Good Place’ reference).
I received a package from Amazon recently that had LPs, SACD and some small box sets. The shipping box was mangled and actually came with a letter from Australia Post sorting center (that they got it in that condition) apologizing for the state of the box and to take it to a Corporate Australia Post Centre. Try as I might google was not helpful. Needles to say, it was easier to return to Amazon for a replacement than to drive around and fill out lengthy forms. I think the packing people at Amazon have very little time to get the parcels together. Has anyone else noticed finger marks on LP shrink wrap, from where it was grabbed in a hurry from a shelf to shove into the box. Weren't there stories on the news of staff at Amazon requiring ambulance attendance due to poor work practices (unable to take breaks, unable to drink water etc)?
Yes, they scored the support slot on a Hall & Oates tour, on top of their own dates in the US. I suspect that this was one of the rare times that “scheduling conflict” wasn’t code for “poor ticket sales”!
This arrived today - cant say I was expecting anything in particular but this is impressive for 24 bucks - slip case, 2 x 180g LPs and a book. I feel like I stole it! Thanks once again Big Swifty

Steppenwolf - The ABC/Dunhill Singles Collection (2CD) (Real Gone Music).@ $12.67 https://www.amazon.com.au/ABC-DUNHILL-SINGLES-COLLECTION-STEPPENWOLF/dp/B00ZB7Q9XO
Tried to order this but for some unknown reason it cannot be delivered to NSW, I have tried both a street address & a PO Box ( The explanation on Amazon Aus makes no sense)
I just checked for you & I get the same error. Never seen than before. Message them & they should be able to fix it.
