Correct. Japanese SHM-SACDs are not hybrid, they are single layer SACD only. You need a dedicated (or universal) SACD player.

FYI, I have this and it sounds fantastic.

Does anyone know which courier company Amazon use for the local delivery of Amazon US orders? I received an order today that had been shoved so hard into my mailbox that all jewel cases were smashed & inserts torn. I'd like to complain also to the courier company.

 

If you go to the tracking area on the site it usually tells you. I have the Prince Live box coming via Fed Ex and a week or 2 ago they used Fastway for a delivery.

Just bought The Byrds Complete Albums collection from Amazon UK.
Looks like Amazon AU is enabling some items to be bought from Amazon UK as the seller. They charged for shipping thought. Not sure if there is a purchase threshold above which shipping will be free. If anyone finds out please let us know.

 

This is so freekin' weird. I'm looking at the same Byrds box set again, the price option of $61.86 is there, but when you click into the actual prices, the Amazon UK option does not come up. What's going on?

 

Yes I’ve seen that happen too. How did you get it into your cart?

 

I already had it in my cart, but from Amazon AU. High price and 11 to 13 weeks to ship. Suddenly this evening there was a dramatic price change and that notice where it says your item is no longer available form the selected seller, we've changed to the lowest available price. Price dropped by xxx. And it was Amazon UK. Went throught the checkout as normal, and order went through. We'll see if it ships.
