Fact - Brian Mannix – Brian Mannix (1990, CD)
Rare Australian rock CDs
Makarrata Project - Midnight Oil (LP) $20.76 (UK global store)
A guy at work's wife is a mate of Brian Mannix and he's got no idea what was going on.
Even Dixon’s are trying to get in on the act with a VG copy of the CD for $1,800
I messaged a chap from one of the bands on Ugly Things a couple of years back (um, Chants R&B, I think) asking if he had any spare copies and he sold me one for regular retail price.
truly bizarre! I think I have a copy of the CD.....must try and find it!
What's truly bizarre is that only one sold on discogs for $650 aud.... Where does the $1k+++++ asking price come from??
Something about the whole thing stinks. I bet if you put one up for sale on Discogs for $200, it wouldn't sell.
A quick question for people here in the know, does Amazon stuff always arrive eventually? I ordered the Dylan mono box on vinyl, Amazon is showing that it left the US some time ago, it was meant to arrive last week and normally those dates are pretty accurate. Should I cancel the order and start again or keep waiting? TIA
Perfect Symmetry deluxe CD + DVD
Who is it being shipped with? Australia Post Global?
Never has a courier company been so misnamed. Fastway is hopeless but it will eventually arrive in my experience. Fastway stuff usually has a little holiday in Port Botany for a week or so before eventually making its way to you.
Fastway are being rebranded as Aramex, just in case you wonder what the strange van is pulling up in front of your house
Ordered for my wife - thanks! It's very rare to see Keane even stocked in Australia, we usually have to import from the UK.
Complete Studio Albums (8LP)
Abbey Road half speed remasters
Be ready to return them a couple of times.
Notorious for poor quality control. Finger prints all over the wax, inner sleeves creased etc.
The outer LP covers are extremely hard glossy card, which is what I think has lead to a lot of the creasing etc. Not sure why they had to do it that way.
If you do get one and it's bad, wait until you get a replacement, then try to Frankenstein a complete one from a couple of box sets.
I bought this https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B003Y8YXG2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 on the weekend.
I didn't post it here, as Al Gor Rythm took care of that. I paid $11.43.
Arrived today, disc 1 is missing. Before you ask, yes, it was factory sealed. I don't remember ever buying anything that was factory sealed and had a disc missing.
Wow, I've never heard of that happening!
I bought The Ultimate Collection by The Yardbirds on Rhino and one disc was missing. I returned it to JB and they gave me another which I opened in the shop and it had the same disc missing. I think the same thing happened with The Lyre of Opheus/Abattoir Blues. So it does happen.
I have a copy of the Hopes and Fears cd signed by all three back when they were just starting out. My sister used to work with one of their mums in the hospital in Chichester! Happy to part with it if you are a fan.
