You would have to question the quality of record manufacturing these days. It would appear not to have improved since the early 1990's when CDs took over. When I buy a standard LP today, I see no change in manufacturing quality to the record I bought in the 1970's or 80's

Yet in the past 20 years technology has improved manufacturing in nearly every other industry - are record company's too lazy, or too greedy, to try improving their product?

That is nicely done! I've heard some bad things about Amazon UK packaging, but they clearly can do it right.

 

I think you're lucky they're still using vinyl manufacturing equipment from the 80s. If they redesigned it, they would aim to produce even cheaper, lighter vinyl; not better sounding. Look at what has happened to CDs; the discs today are about half the thickness & weight that they were in the 80s.

 

Did anyone else get this? Stunning. Great music, beautiful pressing, clear vinyl, album of the week in the Swifty household.
