Certainly helped fund a few other purchases
Now sitting at $18.20
1 in stock
Was always tempted to grab it at that price but never did. Managed to nab the LP version for about $18.
They were selling that Rumours 4 CD/DVD and vinyl package cheap for about 18 months. They couldn't give it away.
Apologies for the one-upmanship, but scored a copy of this in Dec. 2018 for $39.99!
Edit - Big Swifty just one-upped me below!
David Bowie - Loving The Alien 15LP box set - $37.99
Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road SHM-SACD $13
The entire Blue Note SHM-SACD series, bar two, all for between $15-$20.
And the aforementioned Kinks Village Green box set for $37.
Mine was AU$56 but I suck at music!
They were also selling the 5CD/1DVD/2LP version of Tusk for $14.99 a few years back!
One of the first " Big Name" bands I ever saw was Lobby Loyde and the Coloured Balls supported by Redhouse Roll Band at my local theatre, I was 15-16 years old. My only recollection of it was that they were bloody loud and looked really scary
Probably not my favourite purchase, but as far as insane prices go, this 1Blu-Ray/1DVD/2CD Monty Python set in hardback book packaging for $2.50 is hard to beat!
John Dallimore of Redhouse Roll Band is still a bit of a local legend down Geelong way.
On the odd occasion he plays a gig, there are guitar geeks a-plenty in attendance!
The Redhouse Roll Band became Redhouse and had a chart hit with I Like Dancing.
Produced by the guy from Gus and the Nomads
My first 'real gig' was The Scientists at LeRox circa 1984. Changed my life.
I remember Skyhooks playing at Moomba on the Yarra riverbank. All these girls were trying to swim across the river to get to them but they'd start drowning halfway across. The Melbourne City Council had a boat on the river to rescue the drowning girls. That was a life changing event.
That is so cool. Were you a sharpie?

The actual gig!!
Another band I saw when I was an impressionable teenager that really freaked me out was Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band. I remember thinking I should stay well away from drugs or you could end up like one of them!
whatever happened to the Sunshine Pop Festival?!
Just to bring some continuity to the thread
No way, that was why it was so scary, they were playing in a country town of about 800 people and I had only heard of sharpies, never actually seen one!
Anyone see Buffalo live?
I reckon I was at the Warrnambool Palais gig
How cool was the Korumburra Mother Rock Festival!
Channel 10 were broadcasting the Moomba concert live and because of all the drownings I got in big trouble when I got home. It was total carnage.
