I never saw them but supposedly they played all the school socials up and down the east coast. There was really big money in it. Split Enz avoided bankruptcy by playing at school balls.
I took this shot with my Kodak Instamatic at my first real gig at Memorial Drive, Adelaide back in the day.

My brother & I met The Band the night before they played in Wagga, we had been out at a Pub and after closing (10pm in those days) we we eating some greasy food at a Cafe when this bunch of long hair guys came in and after ordering some food sat down next to us and started to chat to us. My brother & I had long hair at the time so I guess we looked friendly to them ( I was 19 my brother was 18 at the time). They told us they were a band called Buffalo and were looking for somewhere to stay for the night, and asked if they could camp with us. Explained that we still lived at home , so sorry but we can't help you. We then discussed music with them and they asked us to come to the concert the next night at the Kyeamba Smith Hall in Wagga, which was not much more than a Glorified Barn. My bother and I were big music lovers(still are) and we duly went to see them play. I don't remember much about the concert except that we loved it and become fans of Buffalo. One thing I do recall was a roadie they had who called himself Rasputin. His role with the band included projecting old Silent Black & White Horror Movies on the a Screen behind the band. I actually met Dave Tice again in the early 90's in Sydney. ( But that is another story ).

Yes, it's the 10 DVD set. It was in May of 2018. Amazon AU had a whole bunch of music DVDs and Blu Ray's at AU$5, with the buy of get one free. I've just looked through my purchase history, and in one of those orders I got 12 blu rays for a tidy sum of $30. $2.50 each. Incredible.
