Amazon AU price watch thread...

I got my Kylie box the next day. They emailed me that it was out for delivery and delivered within an hour. I was actually listening to it when the delivered email came.

 

I'm waiting on a cd from AU ordered last week, hasn't even shipped yet. Due for delivery in 2 weeks. So not just bulkier items.

 

I have noticed what they tend to do if there is the possibility of covid delays is to really blow out the delivery date but if they are coming from Au Amazon they almost always come much earlier

 

I ordered a CD on the weekend. Delivery date said 16th December, but I got a notification yesterday that it was sent and it's arriving today.
So I think like Eskimo says, they give themselves leeway in case there are delays, but in reality they can ship and deliver things much faster.

 

Thanks for this, I put in a pre-order. It didn't give me a delivery date, but curiously displayed 2 items in stock (meaning, I could pre-order a maximum of 2). Who knows if it will ever dispatch. I had another preorder cancelled recently, and that had been placed months in advance of the record coming out.

 

As expected it went from due in 2 weeks to due tomorrow.

My Amazon Aust. deliveries have been all over the shop - some have been delivered 3-4 days after ordering, some have not even been shipped five days after ordering

Well I just had an awful experience with Amazon AU and Couriers Please.

Had an item coming from Amazon AU, used my work address as normal. They attempted delivery Friday at 5.35pm, which is 5 minutes after my work closes.

I just assumed they would leave a card or try and deliver it again on Monday, but no. They instantly marked it as undeliverable and have begun returning it to Amazon.

I contacted Amazon chat and they took a look at it and then asked about processing a refund. The best they can do is let me re-order the item and then give me a partial refund afterwards. The only issue is the original item came from Amazon AU, but now only Amazon UK and US are showing, and the price is about $60 higher. Plus I would need to do the $17 shipping for it to get here in time, and I don't even know if it would make it in time for xmas.
