I seem to have a habit of doing this, I remember once ordering a fairly expensive box set from the AFL Store, only for it to not show up. After contacting them and having a second one sent out, the original also showed up. I contacted them about it after a few days and they got me to send it back and gave me a $20 voucher.
At least you got a voucher, I ordered two hats online from a Melbourne business, when they arrived one was the wrong size ,the other the wrong colour. I had to pay for the postage to return them , which they then reimbursed me, and I was finally sent the right products. Other than a "sorry 'bout that" - nothing!
And US & Japan still won’t ship standard airmail to Australia. What kind of third world country are we??
Very frustrating as I have one parcel thats been returned to CD Japan and unless I upgrade shipping to DHL it'll sit there til shipping recommences - Japanese stuff is pricey enough without upgrading shipping for a single item. Then I had a friend source me some stuff and send over 2 parcels which are now floating around in no-mans land neither arrived or returned to her (yet) - one has been in limbo since 17 Sept and the other since 19 Oct...will I ever see them? $260 worth of stuff just floating about - ugh :-( What is very annoying is how they just suddenly cut off postage with zero warning....
Sorry I forgot context! I meant that the US & Japan postal services have blocked standard airmail to Australia for now, preventing me from making any Discogs or most eBay orders from those countries. Amazon US is unaffected. My only option for one CD from the US is $69.35 for Priority Mail Express International.
This is a first for me.... amazon asking if i want the product (an LP) put in a box for shipping during the checkout process. Is this a new development?
Oh guaranteed it will come. They are just getting you used to the idea that boxes are “optional” before starting to charge you.
I got a three record set and single CD from Aust. Amazon today. They came in a very sturdy large box that had advertising all over it for " The Wheel Of Time" - I presume it is a series of some type 0n Amazon's Prime Video
