Amazon AU price watch thread...

I just got the 2nd damaged in shipping notification. GMail actually hid the message as it was identical to the previous email they had sent.

I left a 1 star review on their feedback page.

Is anyone brave enough to trust Amazon UKs packaging for vinyl? I'm nervous enough about a CD box set I just ordered from them. I received a single CD from them today posted in a standard cardboard A3 mailer, no padding or bubble wrap, but luckily it arrived undamaged.

 

I know right! I just ordered an LP as it was half price....but added in 2 CDs that I could have bought locally just to hope that will make them box them all together.

Last time I bought a LP by itself - they just slapped on a mailing label to the shrinkwrap. Somehow it arrived in perfect condition....how that was possible I still don't understand. And it spent the weekend in the mail box at work and didn't warp. One blessed record.

 

Sprung badly - my wife is not working this week and parcels from Amazon have been arriving daily!

 

Just as well the King Crimson boxes were cancelled.

"Yes, honey, this is an extensive, deluxe box set from a band I hate!"

 

Thoughts and prayers

 

It kills Me when they send 1 order split over 5 boxes and I have to spend the next half hour explaining that the contents of the 5 boxes actually cost me less than the 6 pack of craft beer my wife is holding.

I would actually the pay extra “Amazon martial harmony fee” if they agree to pack everything into a single, smallest box possible.

 

It's worth the cost of a Post Office Box for Marital Peace. Aust Post email/text you when an item appears in your Box and you can collect it when the coast is clear at home.

 

Good one! Although I have not had a cancellation email as yet - It would be ironic if the one person on this forum who can't stand KC receives the box set (but very unlikely!)

 

This is too big a problem for even a god to solve!

I got sent a photo on Messenger when I was at work yesterday of three large boxes sitting on the front veranda with the caption - "Please explain"

 

Speaking of KC, has anyone had their refund? Apparently Shop Abroad have sent them to Amazon to pass back to us. I am thinking it may take a while!
