I have it all, but pound for pound, this must be some of the greatest value ever given the extraordinary quality of the music.

 

When I was a young music fan, Byrds records were rare. It took me years and years to put my collection together. To think you can now have the whole lot delivered to your door for sixty bucks, blows me away.

 

Yep, collecting is mostly easier and cheaper now, but I still question if it's as much fun as it was when you had to scour shops and markets to find that rare b-side etc.

Ween fans, Amazon Au claim to be able to get Quebec on LP, which, seeing as it goes for a couple of hundred dollars on Discogs, I find hard to believe.

Hi all... On a somewhat related note, has anyone received CDRs instead of factory pressed discs from Amazon Au?

I have, when placing the following orders, it's starting to make me think twice about ordering (all shipped by Amazon AU, no resellers). Here are some of the victims (there are a few others I can't recall):

Guitar Shorty- bare Knuckle(alligator)
Coco Montoya- dirty deal (alligator)
Jean Luc Ponty- civilized evil (Atlantic)
Jimmy McGriff- the big band (Blue note)
Eddie Taylor- in session (Jasmine)
James Carter- layin in the cut (blue note)
Canned heat- vintage (fabulous)

It's a small amount relative to total orders I've put in at Amazon au, but still... Makes me wonder how widespread it is.
