Johnny Cash Complete Mercury Recordings 1986-1991 (7LP) $110 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B083XNNR71/
Second trashed parcel in just over a week. The other one was a Tears For Fears RSD live 2LP. But I found another mint copy from a seller in Melbourne, for a good price, who was kind enough to send it with AusPost proof packaging when I explained the situation. I'm selling the first one for half price on eBay to cut my losses.
I was about to pull the trigger but thought I'd check where it's pressed. GZ Media and Half Speed Mastering.
That's a good price in A$. I paid about £300 for mine on release. It's a really good set as it's most likely to have the Bowie records that you don't own. I never had ANY of what was in this box on vinyl....just previously on CD.....but I had most of the other LPs in all the previous boxes, and will also already own every vinyl in the next box, unless they are exclusive to that box.
TEAC 12 Days of Christmas Album $2.99 https://amzn.asia/d/85oZbTj Stocking filler!!! Audiophile holy grail. Arrives 12 days before Christmas
Looking forward to reviews of soundstage, instrument separation and bass extension. Is it crankable? A warm, analogue sounding pressing? What's on the deadwax? Thank you in advance
50 Vintage Rock 6x4" Postcard Set $25 This actually looks quite good. Ships from China though! Waschbär 50PCS Vintage Rock Wall Collage Kit, Band Posters, Music Posters, Poster for Room Aesthetic 90s, Grunge Room Decor, Vintage Room Decor, Nirvana Poster, Posters for Room Aesthetic Vintage, Queen Poster, Retro Room Decor, 70s decor https://amzn.asia/d/0r6XmaX
Thank you, I bought out of curiosity. Interesting to note that it's made in China. I wonder if the Chinese have clocked a gap in the supply chain of records. If that's the case and there is capacity to press in China, I wonder if there will be forthcoming counterfeit market, like the CD box sets.
Converge Bloodmoon I (2LP) $13 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09H96YMWF/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ANEGB3WVEVKZB&psc=1 Temporarily out of stock. "regarded as one of the most original and innovative bands to emerge from the punk underground."
George Harrison All Things Must Pass - 50th Anniversary (8LP) $199 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B096TRV85G/
I really hope the Chinese don't start pressing records. I wonder if this was actually pressed there? Teac is now Chinese but maybe the records are from elsewhere? It's arriving today so I can get a good look out of interest!!!
Blimey! It turned up in resealable sleeve, poly lined inner, colour insert, 180gm and says Made in Australia... Features American, British and Australian musicians....perfect Xmas gift. SQ review pending...
SQ pretty good. Dead quiet. No skips. Nice tonality...good bass response. Songs are typically Christmas but tastefully done with piano and acoustic guitar by Jesus....who knew???
