Letter To You (2LP)
SPRINGSTEEN,BRUCE - Letter To You | Amazon.com.au | Music
A disaapointingly received follow-up LP for the young Aussie talent, but you cannot argue with the price.
P.M. (pink vinyl)
Fogerty's Factory LP
Tears For Fears
Tipping Point LP (Amazon AU OOS) (for completists only as the pressing sounds very muddy and doesn't do an incredible album justice)
Doug Clifford: It was MY sodding factory!!!
And then there's the disappointing advent of the three-sided double LP with the neglected fourth side 'etched' for those not quite double albums/full length CDs.
What about The Rolling Stones~ Blue & Lonesome. a 45 minutes album stretched over 2 LPs
Well, you get up more often so good for you and you might have more space between the grooves for higher fidelity but it's all over for the planet. Trade-offs.
When the Stones released that you couldn't get away with charging $60 for a single album, nowadays no-one has a problem with it.
Let's see what they do for the 10th anniversary re-issue. Won't be long.
All the originals are out of copyright. Perfect for plunder!!
Western Stars Songs From The Film 2x LP
Townes Van Zandt Rear View Mirror (2LP)
$14.99 again now
Thanks Box Set, put an order in. This is a strange one, not sure how they can sell a double LP for only $15. I will only celebrate when the records are in my greasy palms!
Well, they're not selling that many at $14.99; you just tripped the algorithm
Unavailable now from Amazon AU and much more expensive elsewhere.
For once in my life , I got in at the right time!
I got mine delivered last week - same price.
If anyone else is collecting the British jazz reissues, Amazon Au have a pre-order up for one of the genres big guns:
The Stan Tracey Quartet
Jazz Suite: Under Milk Wood (LP)
I read somewhere (but can't find it at this moment) this reissue is limited to 1000 copies so be quick!

Cum On Feel the Hitz. The Best of Slade 2LP $35
It's all here from Noddy and the noize boyz.....yes even THAT one.....itttttsssss chriiissstmaaassss.....
Slade are without doubt one of the most exciting bands to come out of Great Britain. With their unique blend of perfect pop-rock'n'roll, outrageous flamboyance and pure fun, Slade have become a firm favorite in the hearts of pop fans all over the world for nearly fifty years. Slade achieved their first chart hit in May 1971 with the Bobby Marchan song Get Down And Get With It then, released in October of the same year Coz I Luv You was the band's first of 6 UK #1s. They racked-up an impressive 16 UK Top 10 Hits and became a mainstay of music television of the area with their defining performances on the likes of Top Of The Pops setting the fashion trends of the time. Throughout the seventies, Slade became one of the UKs biggest bands, touring and recording continually. Slade's catalogue of hits are synonymous with the era:- Take Me Bak 'Ome, Mama We're All Craze Now, Cum On Feel The Noise, Gudbuy T' Jane, along with the many others provided a soundtrack to the Glam Generation and are still today, heavily influential to their peers and the generation of musicians they spawned. To quote Noel Gallagher: “No Slade = No Oasis. It's as devastating and as simple as that". Bands as diverse as Nirvana, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Def Leppard, The Ramones, Kiss and many more have sited Slade as influential. Cum On Feel The Hits is the definitive Slade best of album and marks 15 years since their last singles collection.
sorry - haven't got to it.
Have 50 in front of it to get through....
