It's the same here, Ebay resellers and Sunday Market stall owners scouring the op shops, filling their shopping trolleys/baskets with anything they think they can make an earner on.
3 copies of Japanese SHM version of ‘Let It Be’ back in stock with Amazon US, price still a reasonable $87.04 (even if they send the regular version)
There's a guy in the inner north who sells all the op shop stuff I reject. I wonder if he makes a living.
Trying this one more time, as everytime I post it, it disappears! Has been back available to order for approx. 72 hours for $26.33, albeit still “out of stock”. Ordered my copy on Sept. 6 and it shipped 2 days later.
I have one of those, bought together with a yellow vinyl Yellow Submarine and white vinyl White Album from a small music shop in Scone NSW circa 1987. All in NM condition, only played once. It will be interesting to see what the red Sgt Pepper goes for.
Bruce Springsteen The Album Collection Vol 1 (8LP) $211 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00NVI90JK/
Not a deal, but interesting that Amazon Au are stocking some nice turntables at the moment: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B094R84292/ Might be worth checking back on Black Friday or Prime Day.
Yes, I was watching too. his yellow sub went for 80- and white album for 135.50, so all 3 have some value still. Mine will stay packed away I think. I would have thought the red pepper would have been going for much more, considering the mastering and story behind it.
It's gone back down to $211 at this moment in time. I've got this and it is definitely worth having, especially as Nebraska is a nice upgrade from the original sequence. I remember getting my box dirt cheap because it was slightly damaged...and that's on top of the faux damaged leather look of the box itself...it looks like an Amazon shipping fail! Nice book included too. I'm tempted to ditch my tatty split box!
Don’t do it. Over time this box has split with minimal movement. I now have all the records outside the box. Fantastic pressings!
I remember seeing a listing on ebay for a large lot of brand new CDs, that no one would ever buy. The listing did state that it was a market resellers "dream". Looking at the type of CDs that were on offer it was more of a nightmare than a dream. You'd be stuck with hundreds of CDs for ever. I had a look and I have found it. Looks like they did sell one lot so someone must be optimistic. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1632906...9hQKkKYRXe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
ABC Lexicon of Love $208.25.... still very expensive but a great album https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0BG9KCK4Y/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3JCEYBC5L8UJ8&psc=1
The Who - Who's Next / Life House | Amazon.com.au | Music $451 from US Amazon, over $40 per disc, the paraphernalia that comes with it would want to be very good!
There's at least 5 songs on there that will totally knock your sox off. If you think you've heard everything you're not even close.
