Norah Jones' Feels Like Home and Not Too Late SACDs are up for pre-order (October 9th). Both are now at the "thanks, but no thanks" price of $36.09, but if you're interested in these check Amazon regularly in case they briefly lower the price before the release date.

 

The Shelby Lynne SACD is $22.96 today in my "quick picks" section. Wonder why this one is priced so consistently reasonable, while the other recent SACDs are ridiculous.

 

Because I already purchased the Shelby Lynn.

Best bet for the AP SACDs these days is to wait for a 10% Off Sale from the big 3 (Acoustic Sounds, Elusive Disc, Music Direct).
Usually free shipping on orders over a certain value is available too to make it worthwhile.

 

Amazon has some of the older titles pretty cheap. I finally picked up Gil Evans "Out Of The Cool". Can't believe I waited so long for that one. What a great album! If you like "Sketches Of Spain" then this is essential.

 

Agree--that's a good one. Did you get that directly from Amazon? Haven't checked in about a week, but I noticed a lot of the older Blue Notes (I know the Evans isn't a BN) seemed to be unavailable through Amazon and started at $30 new from Acoustic Sounds on the Marketplace.

 

It was through a second party seller. I look for the used one. Hold out for the bargains!

 

Amazon currently has Elvin Jones' Dear John C. SACD for only $17.69.

These LPs are almost never discounted, and low prices on new AP SACD releases are also getting rarer.

Said there was only one left, hope I got it.
Hopefully they'll maintain that price once stock is gone.
