Hey, see post #19 here, I referred to it another time. :)
Man On Fire, Arrow Through My Heart, plus two more tracks were recorded in 1987. Man On Fire was featured the 1991 compilation, "Andy Gibb" and Arrow Through My Heart was featured on Mythology, the "Andy" disc in 2010, the Bros. Gibb anthology which was deleted from I-Tunes.

The Very Best of Andy Gibb comes out April 13th. It features Man on Fire, but no other tracks from 1987. But it is the first to have Will You Love Me Tomorrow and Man On Fire on one compilation..........

Capitol/Universal messed up the production credits in the folded booklet for the new comp. Both "(Love is) Thicker than Water" and "(Our Love) Don't Throw it all Away" leaves out Barry's name and just mentions Albhy and Karl. Sloppy but nothing out of the ordinary, Rhino had similar misshaps with the Mythology set. Good to know they have their top men working on this...

Unfortunately they opted to use the early fade version of "Time is Time" for The Very Best of Andy Gibb. The complete track was originally issued on Andy Gibb's Greatest Hits and later included, in full, on The Millennium Collection and Bee Gees' Mythology set. The early fade version was previously issued on the self-titled '91 compilation.

Just reading that took me back to that magical time for a fan of the Gibbs music.
It was unbelievable just how much they dominated music for the last 5 years of the 70s.

I remember in a radio interview at the end of 1979 with the Bee Gees Barry said that every decade tended to begin by throwing out the popular artists of the previous one.
Not sure if he was prophetic or realistic as to what was about to happen.

They had it happen to them before so I'm sure he/they knew that this wouldn't last much longer.

'Desire': wonderful melody, touching lyrics and beautiful singing performances (from Andy and his brothers' BV's).

That's my favorite too although I wish the verses were a bit stronger. The chorus is pure magic.

Listening to Shadow Dancing now to celebrate the 40th anniversary.Super enjoyable music for the deck this sunny afternoon with a nice cold beer.

It wasn't an album that I purchased upon its release but many of my prepubescent girlfriends at the time had a copy as well as the requisite Andy Gibb poster on the wall.I was silly enough to have Leif Garrett albums/posters instead!:o:o:o

I always liked the song "Why" and it is nice to read it was a UK single. I think it should have been on this side of the pond as well.

I love the entire After Dark album. The duets with Olivia are great. I will always have a special place for Shadow Dancing since I remember buying the 45 at our local dime store and playing it to death. I think Time is Time is his best vocal. I guess I am a bigger fan than I realized. I even like the song with Victoria.

Found the lyric in "I Go For You" to be quite sad:

I never was one for a party, look at me now.

An Everlasting Love and Desire are probably my favorite of the hits, but I love them all. A few great album tracks are Warm Ride, Fool For The Night and Dreamin’ On. Also, I love Arrow Through The Heart, partially because it’s the last thing he did.

According to Discogs it was a single here too, but I have never seen one with my eyes. One of my favorites as well.

Shadow Dancing - I bought the 45 when it was a hit. It skipped like crazy.

Always loved that song, "Me (Without You)." A little cheesy and dramatic, but great. The rest of his popular stuff already mentioned is great stuff, too. Such a waste... he was quite the talented musician.

Looks like a European release from the numbering system.
USA RSO 45s usually had a 3 digit catalogue number. (like 800-900)
Bot the the Ireland & France releases list the catalogue number as RS22.

45 cat says it was manufactured in the USA for export to the UK.

Another underrated song is “Wherever You Are” and I was pleased to see it make a recent Capitol Records comp to get more exposure.

According to the Gibbsongs website the other 2 songs were...
    Hell Or High Water
    The Price Of Fame
Do these exist as full songs?
