    DSOTM Black Harvest cd

    I came across this:

Title: The Dark Side of the Moon

    Record Company: Harvest Records

    Catalog Number: CDP 7 46001 2

    Release Date: August 1984

Release Information: Original U.S. release. CD, back cover insert, and 12 page booklet say "Made in Japan."

    Description:

Cover: Black with prism and title in circle in upper right corner.

Label: Black label with Harvest logo at top. Left of center is a rectangle divided into four areas with STEREO / CDP 7 46001 2 / Made in Japan / BIEM/JASRAC clockwise from top left. Statement reserving the rights of the producer and owner of the recorded work is above the rectangle.

Is this the good one everyone talks about? If not, how does it compare? I like the bass on the new sacd, but the treble is too sharp for me.

    Re: DSOTM Black Harvest cd

Could you please elaborate? What is supposed to be so good about this specific CD release?

    Here's the right one:
JPN DARK SIDE OF THE MOON TOSHIBA-EMI CP35-3017

From the sound that you have described I wouldn't think it would be the same as this one.

I described the sound of the new one actually. I got the black harvest cd, and it's good. Is it much different from the toshiba in sound quality?
