    Finish work is super fun! You should give it a go. You could just try some Danish Oil. It's foolproof, gorgeous, and offers a small bit of protection to the wood. Matte finish.

    Built a Foreplay III many years ago. I haven't run it for years due to moves etc. Fun to build, I really liked it with my ST70.

    Don't feel bad, you and just about everybody else!

    You should see his speaker cabinet's!

    He built a home pair of speakers like my large A7's in his own smaller, finished cabinets. They are the nicest Altec's that I have ever seen!

    Never used anything from them but the units posted here do look great. Haven't soldered in many years but these look like fun projects. I might consider trying one at some point.

    Adding on a late reply...My avatar is actually a photo of tubes on my Eros phono amp, which feeds a BeePre, which feed a pair of Kaiju's running as monoblocks. Love their products, and they are SUPER fun to build. My finishing work isn't great, I was feeling impatient to get them in the system.
