Oh yeah I'm interested this. Can't afford to drop $40 on it right away though. Thank you for putting it on the radar.

It's on Amazon now! Available in hardcover and paperback. I had the pleasure quite a while ago of reading a close-to-finished copy of the book and I can say that it's a REAL treat guys. The author tells the story in great detail, and it's very well-researched with interviews with band members.. a full discography in the back that is simply incredible... oh and there's LOADS of rare unseen photographs. Must-have stuff if you're a Butthole Surfers fan!

    Love Butthole Surfers!
Saw them live 3 years ago and you'd swear no time had passed. Gibby H., crazy as hell and so was the show. I would put this show in my top three fav. Live.

    There you go!

By the way, Plain Recordings just remastered Independent Worm Saloon on vinyl. Limited pressing! I got mine!

Right on!! I have been a fan since 1985 but have only seen them once. The Butthole Surfers have had a direct and hugely profound causal effect on the direction of my life (yeah I know... Long story) and the members of the band are fully aware of the situation.

The new vinyl reissue of "Independent Worm Saloon" is excellent! Plain Recordings seems to have finally stepped it up. This is a far cry from the shoddy releases they've done in the past. A very nice pressing with good, punchy sound quality. Apparently they used high-res digital files to master this release - it's suspected they were using CD's as their source before. I would like to get the Plain release of "Electriclarryland" but apparently there is a mastering error at the end of Side A? That's according to what I read on discogs.

So. . . how do the buggerveil LPs compare to touch n go originals?

I recently compared an original LIVE PCPPEP to the CD reissue and you know what ? The CD sounds like a washed out and loud mp3 next to it. Just like poop on a stick.

...someone put together a nice comp of tracks on the Tube. I've had it playing most of the morning so far.
