Any Closet Osmond Brothers Fans Here?

Loved that Pilot album.

 

May have posted this before, but can't seem to find it...

 

My favourite Osmonds single.

 

That looks like a Daniel 0' Donnell style 'Rock n Roll' album cover.

 

The album it's from is all like that. Very smooth.

Occasionally they tried to rock out and be funky, with less satisfying results. The Plan and Crazy Horses were really good albums.

 

Awwwnnn... Donny were cute!

 

I liked them on their TV show.

 

How strange to have a new Englebert single advertised in a 1973 Record Mirror when the charts were full of glam. Surely none of his fans would have read it would they?

 

There were all sorts of weird ads in RM then. Engelbert wouldn't be that old in 1973, and let's not forget in that year the 60-ish Perry Como had 2 top 10 UK hits!

He had lots of album covers like that. Some of them came with extra photos too.

The Phase III, Live, Crazy Horses and The Plan sequence was a great run of albums, filled with some damn fine tunes, but they kinda lost it with succeeding efforts once they tried to adapt their style (although they all had at least a couple of decent songs on them). Shame they focussed on the money-making career and TV show of D&M instead of the band aspect...
