As I said I love this show. My only thing is, I find the shows that are about Penny tend to drag a bit. I love her as just another player in the cast. I am waiting for the Star Trek/Comics Convention show they must do at some time. The show where they were going to a party and the opening scene when they all ran onto the set in matching Flash out fits!

The line about seening the new Blade Runner final directors cut showing with 8 seconds on new fotage that changes every thing we knew about the film...My God I am so there!!!!!! lol

 

How could you not love these guys?

 

I read in the preview that before the date, both Leonard and Penny ask for advice from Sheldon! I guess the funniest plot would be that they both actually follow his advice and the date is a trainwreck. But they still remain friends, now continue on into 2nd season. They built up to it a little bit thorughout the season so they have to let them go out at least once and then they can move on. Actually, another funny scenario would have all 4 of them go on the date with Penny or at least be there to watch. Hey, I should be a comedy writer! NOT!

 

Thank goodness. I was thinking it would be another Ross/Rachel bit.

 

Oh no, a cliffhanger(sort of). Have to wait until season 2 to see how Penny and Leonard's date went.

 

"The cat's alive, let's go to dinner!" was a great conclusion to this episode.

 

It was a great episode, though.

 

Season one has been announced for DVD release in September.

Good season finale. After Sheldon taking over the second half of the season, it was good to see the Penny/Leonard thing come alive again.

 

I think they went a little overboard with the Sheldon techno speak. He has to dissect and compare everything to science/physiscs that someone says to him. I understand that's his charachter and part of what makes the show so funny but I just think they're overdoing it. Pull it back a tad. I don't think Sheldon was that way in the earlier episodes.

 

I believe in this case it had a purpose: making it so funny that Leonard would get it by just mentioning Schroedinger's cat.

 

You may be right but I think it's been that way in the last few episodes not just last night.

YES! I'm all set for it. Just finished watching the first season DVD. Still very funny and got my wife caught up on all the episodes and she loves it now. I read that Sara Gilbert will be a regular this season. Not sure about that. I don't find her that funny especially with her monotone line reading. Besides, Kaley Cuocco is plenty for me! We also need more Wolowitz this season!

 

Season 2 premiered tonight and what a great kickoff to the new season. I don't want to ruin it for those who haven't watched it yet but Sheldon was hysterical tonight and proves what a great casting choice Jim Parsons is.
