Any 'Pepper' outtakes on 'Anthology 2' that aren't on the 'Pepper' box?

Yes, you're right, I checked and there is chatter at the end of Take 1 on the 2-CD set, but that exact same chatter is the "speech" that precedes Take 5 on the box set. So I think Giles simply thought that bit of chatter was worth including in the 2-CD set, so he placed it, appropriately enough, after Take 1. So the version of "Lucy" on the 2-CD set is similar to the version of "A Day In The Life" on the 2-CD set in that they both are composite-edits of different takes that are included in their entirety on the box set.

With the addition of the 1999 remix of "Only A Northern Song," these two CDs each clock in at more than 78 minutes.
Here are the covers I came up with...

Of course, there was a problem with the Dr. Pepper formula in the 1970s.
    It had some side effects.

They're a little different. On the 2CD set, we hear the slate call for Take 2, and some noodling underneath the chatter, which is not the case with the big box. It's hardly a big deal, but for my completist tastes, I got downloaded the two aforementioned tracks to go along with the big box. Perhaps not important enough to warrant inclusion in your set though!

It wouldn't be so stinkin' hard if more record companies paid more people more money to take more time to make sure there are less fu-...er, uh, mistakes. That's the real facepalm-eable offense.

Handsome packaging, but shouldn't "EMITAPE" read "EMINIDISC"?

As the proud owner of a MiniDisc deck, I'm glad to see the format is not forgotten. Now if I can just get the loading mechanism fixed so I can use the darned thing...

Technically those mixes are all unique but the only really noticeable differences are the added count-ins and finished endings.

I read this as "Art Pepper Outtakes." Wishful thinking.

Thanks to the OP for his work and everyone for suggestions.
I’ve been working through playlists for Sgt. Pepper, and one source not mentioned is Love, I think. I’ve added the version of “A Day in the Life” from there with the “dub the mic...” and “sugar plum fairie” along with the last chord. It’s a must for me.

Well, with this new bump, I'm waiting for our host to chime in about one of his favorite sax players......
