Pro Wrestling World Reacts To Brodie Lee's Passing Brodie Lee: WWE & AEW Stars Pay Tribute to Late Wrestler
I had a passing interest in 80's wrestling figures, Hogan, others I can't recall lol. Like I said, a passing interest.
This is so sad and shocking. He had been gone since he lost the TNT title to Cody and they were very quiet as to why he was gone. Very sad, he helped turn the Dark Order into something really entertaining.
sadly you could see the pain on several wrestlers faces after their matches especially colt cabana and eddie kingston who go back 10+ years with Brodie
Still have it on my DVR will try to watch this weekend. I saw on the reviews where Erick showed up, thought that was great. I did not realize he was gone from WWE (granted I haven't watched WWE in over a year). Maybe he can come in as the new leader.
he was one of many people furloughed this year including gerry brisco, fit finlay and hurricane helms. he could come back to wwe. hurricane helms appeared in AEW while furloughed from WWE but is now back with WWE. he actually cleared his appearance with WWE who agreed he could make a one time appearance
AEW's tribute show was perfect. Teared up a few times watching it. The closing segment of Brodie Jr leaving his dads boots in the ring was pretty heart-breaking, but at the same time, it's lovely to see that AEW are taking care of the Hubers, and helping Brodie Jr get through this horrible time. RIP Brodie.
Can't remember if I mentioned this before. Used to be a fan as a child. I got to see Bobo Brazil, Wild Bull Curry, Haystacks Calhoun, among other mid west guys. In the 90s took the kids to see Randy Savage and WWF guys. Randy Savage aka Poffo and his brother Lanny Poffo used to work out at our local health club when in town.
I went to my first live show when I was 10 in 86. Main event was Dusty Rhodes and the Road Warriors defending the NWA 6 man tag titles vs Tully Blanchard, Ole and Arn Anderson. In that time here in Chattanooga we got Crockett shows once every 3 months or so. WWF probably 4 times a year. Memphis every now and then. Continental every month or so. So it was a good time to be a young fan. I missed out on Chattanooga being a weekly town by a few years.
You were in Ed Farhat's Detroit territory. Pampero Firpo, Mighty Igor, Ben Justice, Tex McKenzie, and Bull's kid Flyin' Fred Curry ring any bells? Farhat was the Sheik.
Yup. Flying Fred. Man Mountain Cannon I think. Shook Bobo Brazils hand' And I think a guy named The Stomper. My parents got to see Nature Boy. I have old magazine from the 50s around somewhere.
Guy Mitchell. Worked a sleeper for his finisher. Teamed with Ben Justice. People from the old WWWF will remember him as Jerry Valiant, kafabe brother of Johnny and Jimmie.
