Yes indeed. And I was born in 1951(!) so their music must transcend the eras. I'm not a big fan of the masks only because they are old hat now.

I'm more of a Corey Taylor fan than I am of Slipknot. To that end, I like & own all of the studio releases from them EXCEPT for Iowa. For some reason, that album has never worked for me. I enjoy the ballads and more melodic songs, like Dead Memories, Snuff, Duality & The Devil in I. FWIW, I also love Stone Sour!

They played an arena show here a few years back and I went in totally unprepared.
I thought they were absolutely amazing live.

I'm a BIG Fan of The Slip Nuts for sure.

Loved that Slipknot invited them on stage.

Used to love them years ago and I have to say I think Subliminal Verses is still a fantastic listen. Does anyone own a vinyl copy of it and if so what does it sound like? As per usual, the CD is smashed to the hilt.

I like nu-metal a lot in general (and related styles--groove metal/funk metal, rap metal/rap rock, etc.), including Slipknot

Looking fwd to the new one! Still blows my mind that Max Weinberg's son is their drummer. Did he ever get a # like the rest of them?

I’ve been a huge fan since I got a CD promo of the first album a month before it was released. The online and in person divisiveness about this band between 1999-2001 especially when Iowa was released was like nothing I’ve experienced being a metal fan the past 30 years lol.

Favorite masks would be Corey Taylors and Joey's from the "All Hope is Gone" era

i really enjoy how the band evolved. their debut and demo are my least favorite of theirs. I also feel that the album All Hope is Gone is underrated when
    compared to their other albums.

Saw them in concert during Iowa for the Pledge of Allegiance tour....was in the front row with some co-workers that went as well. The other guy i went with lost a shoe
and his girlfriends t shirt got mostly ripped right off of her being in that HUGE mosh pit....i'm not much of a mosh pit type person and find it silly. If i go to a concert, i'm
going to watch it, not run around like a buffoon, but to each their own. Their Disasterpieces dvd is excactly what i got at my show, but in a different city, but same set list and everything else was the same too, it was a great and mind-blowing experience.

Nope but I saw them a few times on Ozzfest and once as a headliner with Marilyn Mason last summer. They are certainly a thing to look at, and I am glad that I saw them I guess, but could not name any of their songs or anything like that.

Saw them on the All Hope Is Gone tour with my son it’s his favorite band and I can tell you they put on one hell of a show very intense to say the least.
