    The album sounds fantastic.

Combines elements of all their records to date and it works all blended together.

So far Red Flag, Spiders and My Pain are stand outs but the album itself is a joy.

The kings of modern heavy metal have done it again.

    An absolute beauty.

Nero Forte, Unsainted, Red Flag and Orphan are incredible.

Pre-ordered this, but of course with modern Amazon it won't get here until Tuesday. Excited to hear this. I was not a big nu-metal guy at the time and missed out on the debut. A friend insisted that I listen to Iowa though, and that blew a new part in my hair. Loved it. Sadly I don't think they reached those heights again and it's kinda been diminishing returns ever since. But I'm super excited to hear this, given all the praise. As of earlier this morning it STILL had a 100 on Metacritic (though, to be fair, one of the reviews was "only" a 90, so not sure that the perfect score is true).

Well now Amazon.ca only lists one version but of course it’s not in stock and won’t arrive until next week. Hopefully it’s not a bleeped out version.

I said to hell with Amazon and canceled my order last night since they couldn’t even give a delivery date. Picked it up at Target, they had plenty of copies.

The 24/44.1 version is a 1-2db less loud compared to 24/96 version.

    Sounds good esp. on headphones

Yeah they have the same DR but have different peak values.

The 24/96 have -0dB peak values. Yikes!

    I prefer the 24/44.1 version.

Sounds more fuller because it's not loud as af.

Well I think it’s their best since Iowa. Hearing lots of mid 90s aggro-metal in a few songs, like Prong and Fear Factory. Birth Of The Cruel sounds like straight up 1996 Sepultera meets Machine Head.

I preordered the vinyl on Prime and Prime never seems to keep track of inventory for preorders. This is the 3rd or 4th time that I was late to the preorder game and when the album is released, it just tells me that the arrival date is essentially TBD. So, I cancelled the order and ordered it from a 3rd party seller.

Is anybody able to comment on the vinyl quality? I know on .5 The Gray Chapter, the black Roadrunner pressing supposedly was not good so I tracked down the more limited green vinyl copy which sounds better.

Sounds much better on a good hifi system than in the car.
