Jeff, I'd follow that with Rolands'official solo album "Tomcats Screaming Outside".Great album a lot of people missed for various reasons.

Deluxe version with all the b-sides and live "Creep" is available digitally if you can't find the OOP cd.

Good call on Tomcats. Go Pats!

I will repeat what I have said in other threads where this comes up: "Songs From The Big Chair" was easily one of the best albums of the eighties (top ten for sure), and I still listen to it regularly. I know that seems like blatant preaching to the choir for this thread, but I really believe this. I also feel pretty strongly about their other albums, on which the high degree of quality is plainly evident, and was certainly so from the very beginning.

My partner and I went to see TFF in Leeds on Saturday night (First Direct Arena). I hadn't seen them play live before and as such, I was a little unsure of what to expect from them in 2019.

Suffice it to say, they were absolutely knock-out brilliant. I was completely bowled over by their production, live sound and delivery.

I'm very glad that I held onto my tickets after the 2018 dates were postponed. They played to a full arena of ecstatic fans.

Same thing at the Brighton show last Monday which I attended. Reports from Liverpool and London have also been positive. The UK tour seems to be going well and getting a great reaction from both fans and critics. Goodness knows what all the cryptic nonsense that immediately preceded it was all about.

I did the Glasgow show last Monday, and while I'm not the biggest TFF fan in the world, I really enjoyed the gig. Not the longest set ever, but it cut out all the fat and moved along nicely. They both sounded in excellent voice, and I didn't think there was a poor song all night.

I had The Hurting and Songs From The Big Chair on vinyl back in the day. Unfortunately I sold most of my records, including those two, a while ago. I did buy them all on cd and would rate the cds I own like this:
    1. Songs From The Big Chair (an album I consider as perfect as any album can be)
    2. Sowing The Seeds Of Love (close to perfect)
    3. Everybody Loves A Happy Ending
    4. Raoul And The King Of Spain
    5. The Hurting

I'm going to search out Elemental as well as Orzabal's solo work. Love this music.

Wow, we are really out of alignment.:D

    1. The Hurting
    2. Songs From The Big Chair
    3. Elemental
    4. Everybody Loves A Happy Ending
    5. Sowing The Seeds of Love (I was massively disappointed by this on release and there are still only 3 or 4 songs that I really like)
    6. Raoul (probably only last because I have not listened to it enough.

I'm not sure why The Hurting doesn't work for me. I'm sure I bought it before SFTBC, and for some reason it just never clicked with me. When I listened to SFTBC, it blew me away from the initial listen, and I can still put it on and enjoy it; doesn't sound dated to me the way The Hurting does.
As for Sowing The Seeds Of Love, that one took a while to hit me. If I listen to it now, or hear one of its songs shuffle on, it still works for me. It did take a few listens for it to sink in. Albums that take a few listens usually end up sticking with me.

They should consider adding all the title tracks into a future setlist. The creepy b-side "The Big Chair" could work as stage intro music.

Anyone know if The Tipping Point has a title track? I know Roland listed off song titles once in an interview but I don't recall that being one of them.

New dates announced including Israel. That’s almost 30 dates this summer. Rule The World Tour easily their biggest in a while.
