I ordered a manual from this outfit almost a week ago and paid through PayPal.

To date I have not received an order confirmation, the manual I paid for, and my emails go unanswered.

    Did I get taken?

Others might want to think twice before dealing with this guy.

    Thanks for any input!

Seems legit and has been recommended on audiophile forums.
But the vendor is known to be a bit slow getting stuff out.
It is a one man operation.
But no one has ever said that they lost money.
Also there currently seems to be a bit of backlog.
Someone recently complained about not getting their manual yet (ordered in May) and received the following reply:

Thanks so much for the informative reply.

Before sending payment I did my share of investigating and felt confident from comments (like yours) to spend the $$$.

Don't know how I missed the quote you posted but thanks for doing that. Guess I'll keep waiting.

I unfortunately had the same experience.
Placed an order via PayPal June 17. After waiting for a couple months placed a complaint with PayPal and received the same reply as mentioned by Rubberpigg from stereomanuals.com.
No other communications since, they went silent on me.

If they have such a huge backlog, I hope they would stop receiving orders to catch up. I don't have a good feeling about it anymore.

This is such sad news. We've lost a great resource. I ordered a manual for my Proton 1100 preamp many years ago. The copy was as good, or better, than the factory version. He'll be sadly missed. I hope Rachel can carry on. Even if its in a reduced capacity.

    RIP Rick.
