I'm looking for new speakers, and I see that ElectronicsExpress has these on closeout for $249 (pair). List before clearance was $379 (pair). Any comments welcome. I am also interested in the Lsi series, but they are a little more $$ (700 pair).

    thanks

Those Polks have always gotten good write-ups in the audio press.

You might want to check out the Epos ELS-3 speaker which has an MSRP of about $300/pr. If that's your price point and your style of speaker (ie. bookshelf) you might find a real gem.

I'm still waiting for my two pairs to arrive, so I can't comment on how they sound, yet. But I can say that I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about them yet (other than the fact that they're bookshelf speakers...)...

I think the RTi-38 is a terrific speaker. I'm a Polk nut, but i gave these a very long and critical listen. They got sweeter after some break in. Nice choice for the price.

I haven't compared them with other Polks but I LOVE my R15s which are less expensive. I bought four of them! I imagine the 38s are even better
